Full marks to the toddler club!

As noted, I emailed in.

This is the response I’ve just received:

Thanks for your email – we really appreciate you writing in. I was very interested to read your comments about the benefits of starting school later. I will certainly endeavour to include the website addresses in our useful contacts section, although space is very tight. I’d also like to cover home education/education outside school in a future issue as I think it’s an important, and interesting issue.

Thanks again for your interest in the magazine.

Did anyone else join me then? In case you are wondering what I said, I mentioned that we are the only country that sends our children at such a young age, and gave the example of Finland, just come top of the latest comparison, and they don’t start formal schooling til 7. I said that many parents were moving towards home education at the very least for the first couple of years (get them in early 😉 )

  1. Well, as I hadn’t seen the mag I didn’t feel up to commenting. Well done though, and nice to have a decent response, for once, eh?

  2. Oooooh – well done – would be fab to have MP in the Tesco thing!

  3. Yes, I got a similar response, asking if they could contact me in the future if they decided to do an article on HE, which sounded interesting, and that she hadn’t personally been aware of HE.

  4. good stuff Joyce, any more for any more? We *will* get the word out there (and the word is muddlepuddle rofl…)
