Free coffee ain't all it's cracked up to be.

Lying in a hotel bed trying to persuade a baby to go to sleep. Been an odd day. I think he misses home.

Facebook nearly made me miss my train. Got a marketing call about Facebook for business. Wondering how many businesses really have budgets of £30 a day for one avenue of marketing while they are starting up.

Caught the train by skin of teeth. Then in first class on the second one, free coffee. But no free wifi. We were Not Amused.

Into London, tube across town and a random stranger carried my luggage from tube platform to roadside. Bet he regretted that given I’d repacked everything heavy out of the shoulder bag into the wheeled luggage at Liverpool st. Thank you anyway Mr man. I could and would have managed, but I’m not going to stop you helping.

And to the hotel. A free afternoon in London and I spent it sat in a hotel room watching a baby bumble around. He needed some crawl time. Then we went out for pizza (don’t tell small) and eventually back to the hotel to watch poorly tuned TV.

(at 100gbp a night I think the TV shouldn’t crackle. What do you think?)

Drank wine with Anya from older single mum. first time I’ve managed to socialise before a conference I think.

Looking forward to tomorrow. Very nearly today. Better get some sleep then.

It means somuch to meet people like you, in the flesh and I kept meaning to remind you that we first interchanged on Twitter about a year ago with me recommending my Heated Airer to you. Hope you’re all well and we can induge ourselves in a repeat another day!

    1. I thought we’d talked a time or two before. I still haven’t bought a heated airer. One of these days. Sometime we must meet up and manage the whole bottle of wine 🙂
