Batty again.

It has not been a good couple of days for several of my friends and colleagues, with relatives of friends dying off, colleagues being burgled and all sorts of mayhem. It just doesn’t seem to be an easy time for anyone right now 🙁

Nevertheless, children are children and life goes on – there is something not precisely comforting but at the very least relentless about it, certainly can keep your mind focussed. And today seemed to go on and on, cleaner is on holiday so was desperately trying to get my room cleaned as the last children were being picked up, as my room is used for sign language classes on alternate (nearly put alternative Thursdays, which sounds interesting at least) Thursday and today was alternate iyswim. Then everyone else cleared off and I said I would just mop through and be away myself when I popped into elementary to check the blinds and found the bat back on the floor. No idea how he’d achieved it, so rang round for advice, gave him a damp paper towel to suck on and finished the mopping.

Advice was to relocate him outside so did precisely that – he really didn’t look well though (not that I’ve much of an idea what a well bat looks like up close for that matter) and left him to it. Tim is pottering in and out of the kitchen appearing to be creating food, and I’m pondering on a packing list – I’m working tomorrow then I’m going to clamber in a car and go via old house to Kettering for FoH. Will pack wine. Can’t think what else! See some of you tomorrow I hope.
