Add one child, makes for an easy day

Big and E were dropped off just before 10 yesterday morning, and barring a brief attitudinal outburst from Big just before lunch, life was very easy yesterday. The girls played together beautifully, and Small bounced in and out, sometimes with them, and sometimes on his own. Apart from logistical issues like how to process three children through the bath, and finding enough room on the bedroom floor for an extra bedroll, I barely noticed the presence of an extra child at all 🙂

This morning they’ve played slightly more desperately, knowing that E would be going home. Again they’ve been outside which I do like, although Small branched out into throwing soil again, which I don’t. He seems to think that it would be good if I went through all the rules every morning with him, which is so not going to happen – and just telling him to use common sense doesn’t work either. Hm.

Barbara came with her other offspring about 11, and we managed a cuppa and a chat before she headed off, and now both Big and Small, looking slightly weary, are listening, yet again to Harry Potter. We’re on chapter 20 I think, must be over halfway through now surely? Big is desperate for Small to finish listening so that she can watch the film.

She’s playing with Ideal Blox – it does help having two sets. After lunch, which is rapidly approaching, we need to go and post her pouches as the cheque has arrived from the buyer. Her first £5 towards her DS 🙂

  1. Could I commission a pouch for my Walkman MP3 player? It measures 4.4 x 8.4cm. Purple or pink for preference? Not offended if Big doesn’t want to.

  2. commission accepted, mailing you offblog 🙂
