Forgot to blog that during camp, dd crashed into someone and banged her mouth – I didn’t think much of it at the time, there was a bit of blood, she had a cuddle and legged it again. A couple of days later though, I noticed that one of her front teeth is wobbly and going grey 🙁 So now I’m spending the morning trying to locate an nhs dentist. Turns out that the list on nhs direct isn’t up to date – spent 6 minutes on hold waiting to speak to an advisor to be told that yes it is….so I guess I’ll just ring through them all til I find one that will take us. 🙁

It means the nerve is dead or dying I think. Alf, my nephew, has had a great front tooth for a while following a similar accident. Don’t know if it wobbles mind. I think they don’t tend to do anything with dead nerves as it isn’t infected. A wobbling one might be different.
That’s what I thought. This one is wobbling well, so I think that a trip to investigate it is in order…it looks terrible!
We had Abbie’s similar (dead, disintegrating and wobbly) one investigated and the dentist just said not to worry about it unless it actually began to hurt or look infected in any way – he particularly said look out for spots on the gum just above, that would be a sign of infection. So I wouldn’t worry too much. A bit more chips off Abigail’s now and again, but it’s been dead and wobbly for what seems like ages now with no problems. Hope that allays some of your worries anyway. 🙂
Well, Fran did the same and now has the same – its hanging in there, isn’t painful and doesn’t seem to have gone nasty in more than 3 months so i have just left it be. It might possibly firm up once any swelling goes down but given that kids mainly manage to not choke etc on wobbly teeth and its not going to be all that long till its due to drop out anyway, i shouldn’t worry too much. *tries to imagine Jax not worrying * 😉
