Young Travel Writer competition with Al Fresco Holidays.

Al Fresco holidays is running a Young Travel Writer competition for budding travel writers in two categories – age 10 and under, and 11 and over. They are looking for up to 300 words about their holiday telling us where they went, what they did, and why it was great, and maybe including a picture or two as well. The winning entry wins a holiday for the whole family to a fun-packed Al Fresco holiday park of their choice with up to £500 in travel expenses. (Note, in the t&c this is limited to a family size of 4. Given that there are rather more than that of us, I’m querying whether there is a way around that if you’re willing to pay upgrade or some such 🙂 )

As you know, I’m a big fan of competitions. And competitions which encourage creativity, writing, spelling and so on are great for us as home educators, though I’m assuming other parents probably appreciate them too 😉 The motivation of possibly winning a family break with travel expenses to a luxury mobile home park somewhere in Europe ought to tempt the most reluctant of writers really. The parcs have all sorts of activities to make your holiday memorable, such as on site water parks, children’s entertainment clubs and even spas for the parents.

So I suggest that you pop on through to the entry page on the Al Fresco blog and then start making plans for your winning holiday 🙂 You’ve got until the closing date of 5pm on 1 March 2012.

You never know. You could end up with lovely pics like this…
