Yet more Potter and some boxes.

The children listened to three more hours of Potter this morning and then Small got very fidgety. He really enjoys listening – you can tell this by the way he shouts if anyone interrupts his listening 🙄 But the sitting still for a prolonged length of time is not good for the house afterwards, he gets very bouncy. They did take a break around lunchtime to colour in a dinosaur, and then I cleared off down to old house and left them to it.

Made serious inroads into the dining room, separating stuff out into an increasing charity shop pile, three bin liners of rubbish and a smaller amount of boxes to keep. I was ably assisted by Kirsty throughout, which does keep me focussed, I think we’re very near to clearing the house, which is good, as I’m planning on moving next week 😉

Got home to discover that Small had trashed the living room at some point in the afternoon, presumably having got to a very bouncy stage. They finished Goblet of Fire finally, so I guess we’ve a film watching session coming up very soon. Big is in two minds whether to continue with Deathly Hallows, she’s decided it’s a lot scarier than the book before. I suspect she will continue, but maybe not quite as rapidly as she has been doing.

I’ve spent the evening pondering my response to the response to my complaint – I’m having to write and rewrite as I do not wish to be just dismissed as some ranting weirdo. I was very disappointed to discover that it is a standard response – I wonder how many complaints they received? I also wonder if it’s worth going above them to whoever the regulatory body is – the response is extremely dismissive of our concerns in the least.

Ah well, pondering for another day, I’m off to bed now. We’re going for a joint trip to old house tomorrow, I’m hoping to have everything stowed away in the garage, and then I can start seriously boxing here as well.

Wish me luck.
