Wonder if making a list

would work as well for me as it does for various other ppl?

Wouldn’t have thought so, think I’ll just end up feeling guilty I haven’t achieved everything on it.

Managed our reading yesterday (as already blogged) but maths was more problematic. We did some hama – got the big beads out for Small, and Big played with them for ages!

We also got outside again – trying ever so hard to make sure we get out and about for a bit every day – so we walked to the postbox. Small fell over twice 🙁 and after the second time, didn’t really seem to be himself. Ended up carring him most of the way back, which was less than fun as he’s quite heavy really.

Once we got back, Big wanted to ride her bike, but she’d been asking for the seat putting up. Tim tried to, but turns out the bike is just too small for her. Eek! She’s barely ridden it – wonder if Small will like pink when he’s an appropriate size? (or maybe we could contrive a swap Sarah?)

When bathing Small, realised why he wasn’t too happy. I’d thought he’d just got his hands dirty – couldn’t see any actual damage. But there’s a flap of skin that has dirt driven under it, which looks rather uncomfortable to say the least. Managed to disinfect it after he eventually fell asleep. Got to play jigsaws a bit more with him yesterday evening, before he keeled over, and realised that he has a very different approach to Big – he’s actually trying to match pieces of picture. He sits there putting pieces together and if it isn’t right we get “no no no no” while he shakes his head and takes it apart. Very cute.

Did get a call from the agency in Leeds asking how my java course is coming along. Ah. So Tim spent some time rebuilding my desktop so that it works, and put IE on so that I can access the course. Did two lessons of it last night (there are only 5) so I think I’m on track to finish it by the time the agency calls back in a couple of weeks. Looks like I might get another interview in Halifax after that, which feels rather more hopeful.

Right, today they are playing with hama again (ALL over the floor!) and I’d like to get out in the garden a bit now that we’ve all got wellies. Must do maths and reading, and I think knitting for Big and more crochet for me. Hoping for a little time to myself this afternoon to get on with a couple of programming projects, and seriously considering booking myself a room up at the travel inn at the top of the road to see if I can get a good night’s sleep. I am *so* tired!

  1. got really confused for a second there, until I realised which Sarah you were talking to! Josiah has *loved* his inherited pink bike 😉

  2. Do it Jax! Book the room; sleep deprivation is no laughing matter.
I’m a bit cautious about lists for that reason but sometimes I make a *very* conservative list and that feels good 😉
And retrospective lists hammed up a bit do wonders!

  3. I so know where you are at with tired Jax. (((((sleepy hugs)))))

  4. Swaps are good – you know anyone casting off a boys bike for Dino?

  5. spots? what’s this about spots?! Blogger won’t let me in anywhere, waaah!
