we've seen this before…

him: no, this is a different show.

me: No, I’m sure we’ve seen this one before.

him: No, just a very similar one.

me: What, right down to the boyscouts? (Pause as we watch the next scene.) We’ve definitely seen this before.

him: You’re right, we have.

me: And which one of us is it that works visually?

him: Oh shut up.

  1. Are you packed then?
If not, why not? And if so, what have you packed, so I have some idea of what I should be packing?

  2. I have a large pile of washed clothes on teh bed, does that count?
I’ll bring clothes – 6 tops each, suitable numbers of bottom halves, more for Small. Underwear, nightclothes (at least two sets each).
Dressing up clothes. I’ll give her a bag and she’ll pack toys and books for them. Bed bears will ride in the car. A craft bundle – I’ve got paper, pens, pipe cleaners, and I’m bringing my crochet bag.
Couple extra blankets, cos I like heavy bedding, and it’s little single duvets. Last year I brought a fleece for under Big to protect the mattress but I probably won’t bother this year.
Some food – cereal, fruit, juice, decaff tea. Wine. Laptop. Maybe a book to read. Possibly a printed out ebook to review.
Shoes – slipper socks for indoors (for all of us, mine are bagpuss). Toiletries. nappies for small. Hats, gloves, coats, wellies.
Stuff I’m bringing for Helen (book of hers) Merry (postage bags) Alison (bob books, base 10 stuff).
Hey, that was quite useful, thanks Kris!

  3. Towels.
    Swimming stuff.
