well, that went surprisingly well.

I got up at 7 when Tim did. Well, OK, about 8 minutes after him – long enough for him to go downstairs, come back with my cup of tea and process himself into the shower. Then I knew I had about 10-15 minutes before he’d be ready to leave, so I hauled myself out of bed and went to get the car seats out of his car. That was quite hard work given that the car doors were frozen shut!

So I was at my machine and working before the kids surfaced, and it’s that kind of timing that might just let this work. Short term anyway. Barely any tv, copious amounts of time outside (it’s impressive how much mud a small person can manage to coat a pair of trousers in really), computer, piano, playdough, painting – they did it all. And it was good. There was lots of imaginative stuff with a box, and I loved hearing Small playing Daddies and babies, where he was the daddy 🙂

Right, tomorrow and Weds I’m off into the office and they’re spending time with Ailsa – I think they’ll enjoy it though. Just got to hope that I make it into the office in time to catch the coffee van 😉 And now I’m off to bed – this is only going to work if I get disciplined with my sleep time.
