weekends are too short

or maybe I’m just using them up to fast in games of scrabulous 😉

Don’t seem to have socialised much with the kids this weekend. Spent some time torturing Big yesterday – she needed some information from Grandma so I told her the phone number, so she had a complete meltdown, so I refused to do it for her, and this went round in circles for about an hour I think. Small hasn’t learnt from the experience – tonight he stamped and shouted at me, and I said not to do that, he said “I’ll stop when you do what I want” – um, no.

They almost went outside to play today – took them about 50 minutes of to-ing and fro-ing to decide it really was too cold. I shopped and paid to have my back and neck massaged in one of the chinese medicine shops that has sprung up in the local shopping centre – it was very good while it lasted, but when the guy stopped rubbing the pain sort of rose up and settled in my head.

I’ve managed to fit in reading a book and I’m struggling through a second although it’s hard work and I’m wondering why I’m bothering.

Oh, and Small actually asked to watch Muzzy today. Still not convinced it’s worth getting 6 threatening letters every month though.

  1. No, weekends are definitely too short.

  2. yuck to tantrum-ing children, hope they go a bit more gently on you and get the idea that they don’t work!
Big yuck to Muzzy sending nasty letters – it’s not worth the money by any wild stretch of teh imagination and certainly not good enough to warent being sent snotty letters.
Hope this week’s a good one for you

  3. to some extent I wouldn’t mind if I was getting them because I hadn’t paid, but I’m getting them because their system is confused!
