child despatched upstairs to rediscover bedroom floor (difficult to move bed if you can’t get to it).

I can do this. No matter how completely washed out I feel, I can do this.

Beautiful sunshine, that I’ve been wasting all summer, and now have no time left to enjoy.

  1. you can do this Jax. But you have to not be at all hard on yourself while doing it.
At present my goals are: get through the day; not be a crap parent; be professional and skilled at work, and not be distracted.
I think I succeed. Soon I might actually try and be a good parent. [particularly if I get some sleep]

  2. You can do anything you set your mind to Jax! You are one of the most capable women I know. I respect and admire you enormously.
And now I’m going to slope off with my reputation in tatters…….

  3. We had a lovely day and I even managed not to harm Pea :-).
Re mice- the poison makes then thirsty so they go out to die! We haven’t seen any corpses(unlike the dead birds that next doors cat keeps leaving us! I toss them over the fence). I couldn’t give much of a toss about killing them, this is my home and they ain’t wanted.
