Very quick tonight

as feeling very sorry for myself. Wondering if the children have managed to infect me with their bug 🙁

Managed the shopping this morning, despite Big’s reluctance. Got a lovely wind up torch, for only £4, will do nicely for camping. Almost wishing I’d got a couple actually.

Did some other errands, and home for a late lunch. Big wanted to garden and I said yes, then discovered when I got up from my chair that the world wasn’t particularly stable. Sat down with a drink to see if it would sort out, and it didn’t 🙁 Eventually ended up retiring to bed for several hours, getting up to help with the bath and bed thing.

Now I’m in that horrible state of being tired but not sleepy, still got a stinking headache, food makes me turn green, and I don’t think I can concentrate on work or studying. Which reminds me to get cross – I ordered a book from Amazon to help with the studying, and they had it marked dispatch within 24 hours. How come that 24 hours keeps receding? Just as well I put the exam off til Tues, but I can’t put it off any further, there’s this little camping trip I’m supposed to be going on.

On the educational front, Big seems to be very into writing atm. She’s started trying to sound out and spell words and names, and spent ages this afternoon with one of those wipe clean books going over words. And she’s been learning about politics too, and I think can now recognise some of the political leaders of the country. Though I’m not sure about that. Oh, and we all spent quite a bit of time on that Bob site this morning – Small really does like Bob. Big likes Wendy. Well, there are worse role models for them both.

  1. Hope you feel better tomorrow. Have just checked the weather forecast for this little camping trip, and I’m not overly impressed. I think possibly we’ll get by without buying another sunsuit 🙁

  2. I was thinking it looked bearable

  3. not quite as good as last year, though. Hope you are feeling better Jax, it’s a pig to be trying to study when you feel ill 🙁

  4. hope you’re feeling better – getting quite jealous about hesfes, maybe next year 😉

  5. The weather looks dry all week which would be plenty good enough for me. Forecasting beyond 7 days is very flaky so I would expect it change some more between now and then.
