two days to holiday

and shedloads to do, so consequently, a nice motivational list 🙂

Washing (one load drying, one load to put away, one load in, another to go throughnow one load through and hung up to dry, two loads to put away and one load in last load through and hung up now – blast have just realised have put dark load in without my fleece that I wanted to wash 🙁 )

Tidying:

living room now sorted out the area under the table, cleared the table and hoovered, including the ceiling!,

kitchen [dry stuff put away, washing up done, sides wiped down],

kids room,

dining room.

paperwork

car

other car

tax

miscellaneous stuff that needs dealing with.

finances

cheques (will have to wait til Tim’s back – post has arrived without car tax, so not going to get that til Monday now 🙁 )

credit cards?

anything else

shed

sort it out enough for the cat to get in through the cat flap while we’re away shed now sorted enough so that the catflap opens and closes and there’s room for him to get up onto the old beanbag in there (which is really warm. Only have to teach him to use the catflap now!).

(I’m really worried about leaving the cat, he’s still quite young and we haven’t left him before. Mother is going to come down and feed him – I’m hoping that she might occasionally spend a bit of time with him, but I want him at least to be able to come and go from the shed so he’s got somewhere warm and safe.)

holiday

pack!

shop for wellies, swimsuits. Again this will have to be tomorrow now. Bother.

  1. Hoovering ceilings! I so always forget that needs doing. * Looks up @ cobwebs *

  2. My stepfather made a comment about it last time he was over which made me think of it while the hoover was out…

  3. How come you always seem to be buying wellies when you go away?

  4. we’ve lost the pair we bought last time we went away, and he won’t wear the pair that we had of Big’s that are probably the right size (I think he’s put off by the flowers 😉 ) Wish I knew what had happened to his other pair, bad feeling they are in the ex car 🙁

  5. Buy swimsuits at CP?

  6. Might well do, it’s just I’ve got £50 of M&S vouchers I was planning on spending…

  7. You forgot to add to your list “Write post-dated posts to keep loyal readership happy in your absence.”
    🙂

  8. you know, I did consider doing precisely that, but there’s a bug in this version of wordpress and they don’t publish 🙂
