Top Dollar Mobile

Mobile phones, recycling, decluttering and making money. All topics you’ve read about here before. But not in all at one I don’t think.

This is a sponsored post, but you might want to read on anyway, it might be useful to you.

You may have noticed we like mobile phones in this household. But what we don’t like is working out what to do with outmoded ones. I’ve had a Nokia 6310i (I think that’s the right number) in the bottom of a cupboard for ages – I once looked at selling it on Ebay but never got around to it. If only I had known about Top Dollar Mobile at that point! It’s a recycling website where they pay you for your mobile – you get a good quality freepost bag to send your phone in, and then they send you money.

You need to have a phone that is listed on the website. If you’re anything like our house you may have more than one. Oops. Then you can apply and you’ll get sent a tradepack, so that you can send your phone in – you get told the price up front so you know what you’re going to get for it. As long as the phone is as described, you are paid within 5 working days.

That’s got to be better than the hassle it takes selling anything on Ebay. Do you really want to go through all that rigmarole of listing things, working out the postage, insurance, sending it, wondering whether it arrived, getting it sent back, having to do refunds – or is that only me that happens to? No, I’m sticking to this type of buy back service in future, and if you agree, I’d love to hear how it works out for you.

  1. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I personally hate listing stuff on eBay, it’s one of my procrastination jobs. When I finally list something I waste time checking back to see how the bidding is doing! So I’m with you; if there’s a site you can go to where you know the price you will get – what’s not to love?!

  2. It is so convenient and you got to recycle your old mobile phone. I think I’m going to send my old phone too.

  3. I love that they will be sending a free bag to send your old phone to be reused or recycled.
