20 past 12, and Small toddles into the living room dragging the box of fake shreddies behind him. Other children have comfort blankies, he has a box of shreddies 😉

Are you hungry? I ask.

Nodding. Lots of nodding.

Well, put the shreddies away and I’ll make you a sandwich.

I go into the kitchen to find the box of cornflakes on the floor. Bother. Open the cupboard and realise that he’s had to take the cornflakes out so that he can fit the shreddies back in – well impressed.

So I start to make sandwiches and hear him clattering about in the dining room. Next thing, he’s coming to me, bringing the plates that he’s got out of the sideboard thingy in the dining room. He’s quite clever really. 🙂

On the downside, I think my washing is going through for the second time though – I think he must have restarted it the second it finished 🙁

  1. ah, bless! rofl to the washing, though, Josiah used to do that too, and all the kids have been known to open the dishwasher, peer inside and see that it’s full, then switch it on. Saves having to admit you knew it was clean and you should really have emptied it …

  2. oh very cute! Look at it this way with the washing, it will be *really* clean!!!

  3. Jax, Lyddie has pretty much taken over my laundry system. Just a few months ago she was young and innocent, like Small..
