Time for another education carnival?

I thought it’s been a while since we had one. So how about we talk about what your educational philosophy is?

I don’t mean that you need to share the kind of write up you might send to a LA. Although obviously you can if you like 😉

But what are you looking to achieve with your children through their education? Is it qualifications? Career based skills? Do you have any particular methods for getting there?

Are you completely autonomous – your child is in charge? Or do you rule the roost? Or perhaps there’s a negotiated middle path.

I’d love to hear what you get up to and why. Drop posts to me however suits you and I’ll round them up and post in about 10 days time.

  1. One of my biggest priorities is teaching my kids (12 & 9) how to think critically and outside the box. Other things are important too, but that’s what I really try to drive home. Seems to be working… sometimes too well… especially when they start questioning ME about some of the things that I do! 🙂

  2. I’ll try and put something together for this. Lappy is steadily dying and so doing quite a few things on the mobile and it’s very frustrating for this touch typist! Been ages since I said much re home ed.

Yes, I often feel that I neglect home ed on here!

  3. I will try and put something together to join in with this. It is about time I had a written plan!
