Time for a fresh start.

Too many things have been getting me down for too long.

The floor has disappeared under a pile of stuff that was previously precariously piled on a chair. Small is standing on the window sill shouting out of the window. We have more clothes dirty than clean, and I haven’t seen the dining room in months.

I’m going to go get dressed (yes, I’m still in my dressing gown) then I’m going to deal with a couple of important phone calls, start some washing and sort out the compost. Once that’s done I’ll report back with the next part of the plan.

This is going to be very boring for you all, so you don’t need to read, but I need to write this down to motivate myself. And a theme to the ring atm, is it’s my blog…. 😉

  1. go Jax go!

  2. OMG! You won’t be found for days once your start. If you look closely you might find some extinct species (send them to the natural history museum as they have a special dept for extint species found in homes 😉 ). My plan is always to tackle one room at a time and one facet of a room: so go for the dining room, tackle clothes first, then paperwork etc.
You really need someone to help you with this kind of stuff because they tend to be ruthless (its not their stuff) and you tend to want to keep everything. A happy compromise can always be reached that way.
See you sometime after Xmas then 😉

  3. Goodness, don’t YOU start getting as bolshie as the rest of us about it being YOUR blog 🙂 next thing it’ll be YOUR blog ring, and the next thing, president of the world. When we will all constantly looby you about insituting our favourite laws. Legalising all sorts of substances, brownies for tea every day ;-), pre-death organ donation, the list goes on, and on……As for mess – I am doing the opposite from you. “it’s OK to let some mess build up OMMMMMM”

  4. Good for you Jax. Yes, making it public (even if you think no-one’s reading) is definitely a good motivator. It’s almost fly-lady like. I think I’ve missed the ‘your/my blog’ theme as I’ve not been round very thoroughly for a while. Can just about pop in to two or three atm plus Merry’s ever hour of course 😉 ), but def not keeping up. Will check in on you later though…

  5. My question is who ‘owns’ the comments on a blog?

  6. Well, in this case, I’d say that as I pay for the webspace where they are, they’re mine. Dunno what or whether the copyright laws apply at all – yet another situation in which technology has overtaken any sense of law really.

  7. What if I add some copyright statement?
Unless otherwise indicated, this comment is the property of author (Christopher Price), whose administrative offices are at The Portico, Berkshire. The copyright in the material contained in this comment belongs to the author.

  8. Lots of the v. popular American Blogs I read are copywrited. Someone nicked some content from one to print onto T-shirts (to sell) and it all got a bit nasty. The T-shirt person backed down in the end.

  9. Copywriting a blog is one thing, but comments are another thing entirely – kind of like letters sent to the paper perhaps?

  10. Pedants R Us avatar
    Pedants R Us

cop·y·writ·er One who writes copy, especially for advertising.
cop·y·right The legal right granted to an author, composer, playwright, publisher, or distributor to exclusive publication, production, sale, or distribution of a literary, musical, dramatic, or artistic work.

  11. Is that Tim correcting Jax and Layla???? A braver man than me, sir.

  12. Might be me, might not. Who can tell. 🙂

  13. How about the person viewing the IP addresses? LOL
Anyway, I got it right earlier, then assumed I must have got it wrong – typed it about three times trying to figure it out and decided life is too short…for ppl who correct me, anyway!
