This time last year

I was going to bed. Convincing myself the pains I was feeling were braxton hicks. Baby wasn’t due for another two weeks after all.

I was so wrong.

Not braxton hicks. Contractions. You’d have thought, fourth time around I might have recognised the sensations. But everything was different.

We think my body needed him to be born. That he was ready enough, but that it took him weeks to catch up with himself. You can’t tell now that he was early.

He’s a gorgeous baby. I love him hugely.

Happy birthday Tigerboy.
