The stepford daughter program is working well then

🙂

Big is being lovely today. Everything that I know she can be – she woke up about 8.30, came downstairs and found a pile of presents. She didn’t rip into them, but waited for us – Tim was right behind her. Then she gave me half an hour to come round before bringing all her presents upstairs to open. Small was very interested – he’s got the hang of present opening now. So she let him open half her presents!

She got knitted Barbie clothes from Joyce and Hannah – Barbie looks very warm and cosy in her purple dressing gown! (Barbie had to be fetched immediately to try on her clothes).

There was a Twist ‘n’ Shout addition toy – I can see me dropping it in a bucket of water fairly soon, but she seems addicted already ;), a what’s the time memory game, a set of IQ puzzles (I’m addicted to them, little foam jigsaw things that you can build into cubes) and a set of Arabic boxes to decorate. Not a huge haul, but given what she had a Christmas and our current situation, perfectly adequate. She seems very happy with it all anyway. We’ve had a game of What’s the time (breakfast happens at 7.30 apparently – not in our house!) which she won, so that was good. And now I’d better start thinking about tidying up – I’m hoping a couple of sets of friends are coming round this afternoon although we aren’t partying – we’ve got ballet tickets booked for next Saturday instead!

Now they are playing Geomags – Big has just made a person, while Small is enjoying putting the balls in and out of the container. He does smell rather though, I ought to go and drag him screaming to be changed…
