Teapot, reimagined

Chatsford 6-cup Teapot BrownChatsford 6-cup Teapot Brown. I came across this in a page called “In praise of good design”.

I think this has all the attributes we want. It looks like a teapot. It is not ludicrously expensive. BONUS: It has a built in strainer – no fishing for leaves or bags. It (allegedly) doesn’t drip (believe that when I see it). It is available in BROWN, although I must admit I fancy a blue one.

It does strike me someone has really thought about this product.

  1. IIRC I had done of these some years back. The strainer bit works well for loose tea. But I don’t remember it’s non-drip performance being that good, and the graze cracked all over in side and out over time. such that it leaked tea through the body of the teapot itself.

  2. So the design is well thought out, but the manufacturing quality is crap? Figures.
    I sense a trip to Wilko’s coming up….

  3. Well, mine was, whether they all are – dunno. They are supposed to be good.
Looking forward to enjoying a brew from it 🙂 🙂
