Sunny St George's Sunday.

I laid in this morning – a couple of bad nights earlier in the week and I was very short on sleep. So when soa decided that we could sleep this morning I think the rest of the family thought it was a really good plan 🙂

Once I did rise and shine, it was to get straight back into business talk. We explored origami, talked more about market research and test marketing and discussed macrame too. Big wants to know about how she’s going to work out which bit of any money she makes is money she gets to keep, which seems like a pretty good question to me. She also wants to work out how to keep track of money in general – she understands there are books you can use to do that.

Small was computing, no surprise there. It was his Beaver’s St George’s parade today, so I walked him down to the seafront. It had rained heavily at 12, so was quite pleasantly surprised by the heat by 2 o’clock, it was lovely. soa was quite happy in the wrap so I hung on for a while to see them set of parading, and then walked home briskly for feed time for both of us, before setting out again to pick him up.

Big and Tim went to homebase in the meantime, to get lawnseed for the bit of the garden between the two side lawns where the conifer hedge used to be. He’s dug/ chopped out the stumps over the past couple of weeks, and soon we’ll have an extra stretch of lawn 🙂

We also had cards to make, for Tim’s s-i-l’s brother. Love extended family 🙂 And I dropped them round while the chicken bits were cooking – I’d have walked them round, but ran out of time in between feeding soa and cooking tea for the rest of the tribe.

So all in all, even though I was late getting up, we packed a fair bit into the day. And given that soa is still going fairly strong, we’re still packing it in 😉
