Sunburn in September?

Last morning swimming lesson til next year. Small almost enjoyed it. Well, actually I think he did enjoy it, he was fighting to hide a smile as he walked up to me at the end. His new teacher is very thorough – actually gets in the pool with them and shows them how to do stuff, which is something that often happens in earlier groups, but not in many of the later ones, and he’s in the fourth of the 6 groups now. I’m pleased – it seemed to me that his strokes weren’t as developed as Big’s were in this group and I was worried that he wasn’t going to get them sorted now.

So with that and shopping the morning evaporated. And then the children disappeared into the garden, and came in from time to time for food or drinks or to be read to, or play pocket frogs, or watch Bob the Builder (I’ll let you guess which child wanted which).

And somehow the afternoon passed by. And Smallest didn’t nap, which then extended into the evening, and I made pizza with Big, we all ate, and then I took Smallest to bed. She’s been asleep there, alone for 90 minutes now, and I’m watching television and writing a blogpost.

It’s luxurious. I don’t quite know what to do with myself. I may just fall asleep in my chair now.

Oh, and yes. Small contrived to catch the sun in September. Go figure.
