With a sickly child, do we can’t event at kentwell today. We’ve no board games, and precious few books, so we’re playing Nim. We can use the same cloth scraps to play three men’s morris too.
Tudor games for our tudor time.
Edited to add rules:
Nim: 2 players (though small says you can have more) take it in turns to remove counters from the board. They can take as many as they like from a single row. (we usually say the rows are across). The person who picks up the last counter loses.
Three men’s morris has the board I’ve added a picture of. Two players with three counters each take it in turns to lay their counters down, then move them about the board on the lines, one space at a time until someone manages three in a row.
