Should have done the questions today

They’ve been non stop! And mainly about tough stuff – Big is fascinated by religion. Not helped by class tv running repeated episodes of Pathways of Belief all morning, which she was transfixed by, right up until Small decided he wanted to have a turn on the computer, at which point she *had* to help him, didn’t she?

So after that she played on Studydog, must get round to downloading level 2, as our instal doesn’t recognise when you’ve finished games, so I’m just gonna quit while I’m behind, and go for the next level.

While they ate lunch I searched unsuccessfully for Adiboo – have promised to find it tonight, so must go hunt in a minute. After lunch it was Dragon Tales for Big, and train track for Small. He pottered in and out very happily, then somehow contrived to fall over his own feet and hit his head, well cheek, against the leg of a chair really rather hard. Had to get Tim to come down to cuddle him so that I could assess the damage, and get the arnica out pronto. (Look away now those non homeopathically inclined amongst us 😉 ) Took a little while to persuade him to take a tablet – but once he did it started fading almost immediately, and by bedtime and a couple more doses, it was just a red line. Well impressed.

Later on in the day, pried Big off the computer and sent her out into the garden for a bit. It turned into a rather lovely afternoon and evening after a very wet morning. Oh, and I got the call to say I’ve a second interview next week for the job I went for on Friday, so it appears that sometimes who you are does come across at interview 🙂

Big decided she wanted to do maths, and found herself a workbook and did a few pages, then wanted to know how to read numbers like her score on Studydog, so we talked about place value for a bit. And later on she sat down on the sofa with Small and read him a book! I was incredibly impressed, and pinged Tim vi IM to come down as well. She was very proud of herself when she clicked what she’d done. I was very proud of her as well. 😀

So along with the questions about god, creating, belief, what I had believed as a child, why I had believed it, where I’d learnt it and so on, it was a very straightforward day. Honest. Now I’d better get started on some work…
