Seconds out, round 1

of Jax v Christmas 😉

Let’s see, I stayed up late last night trying to work through yet another box of stuff from under the table this time. Then I was reluctant to rise when the alarm rang, despite us having plans to head to Wales within an hour and a half of getting up time.

So instead of setting off at 10, we were finishing off presents and wrapping them. Anyone out there surprised? No, I didn’t think so 😉 Must add that to the list of things to achieve – get more organised, or get used to the alternative. Oh, and Small also had to post to his blog, after an argument with Big about whether he had a blog (he does) and drawing a picture on paint to put on it.

We eventually got down to Wales around lunchtime, and did Christmas no 1. Gifts were from sister J, and each child got a sackful, as well as a bag and box for me and Tim.

Small was thrilled with a light sabre – he doesn’t know what a light sabre is, he just thought it was a really fabulous big torch. He adores torches, so this went down really well. Better even than the toy electric guitar thing, which he did think was pretty good.

Big spent the whole afternoon walking in and out of the living room with her new bag and umbrella and her invisible children. She was really quite chuffed with them both. She rather liked her Mr Funny Face game as well.

The robots went down really well as presents – we took some other home made bits as well, and spent some time persuading one recipient that the basket was homemade!

Late dinner, and then home just after 9, after a particularly lovely trip over the woodhead pass. Just love that road 🙁 Small is struggling to get himself sorted out as he slept in the car, then woke up when we got home and isn’t quite sure whether he should be awake or asleep. I just went up and read Rattletrap car and then put his baby music on (Eva Cassidy, for anyone not in the know 😉 )
