Saturday Snippets 4 October 2014

{watching} Red 2. Great film. High body count, so not one for the teenies, the wisecracking is brilliant, and Helen Mirren is just excellent with a machine gun. And a knife. And acid. And her feet. 😉

{reading} this one is a bit more difficult. I seem to have about six books on the go, and I really need to settle down and finish them and write them all up. There may be an excess of review material over the next week or two. (I’ve said that before. There rarely is.)

{missing} out on the beer festival. Rain stopped play – it’s not much fun in a beer garden in the rain.

{tidying} a table. The positive side of a disastrous house is that every 5 minutes tidying makes a difference. Or every couple of hours. So instead of spending my afternoon putting myself on the outside of a couple of halves, I spent it processing stuff. It turns out that a lot of the heaps consist of waste paper, or things heading for a charity shop, or even just air. So the table looks a lot less heaped, and there’s another box of recycling heading out.

And I’m going to try to remember that a couple of hours made a big difference. And keep on doing it.

Snapshots

Big has started blogging again. (Pop over and give her a visit.) Small is also blogging and is counting down the days until the cash he’s earned arrives and he can buy Super Smash Bros for 3DS. Smallest did the most fantastic story, beginning, middle and end using the LEGO storystarter set. And Tigerboy for the first time joined in with everything at communication group, even down to sitting on the mats for the Hello song 🙂

If you’d like to share your snippets, I’d love to read.
