Saturday snippets 27 December 2014

{Not travelling} to Yorkshire. We called off our trip last night due to the snow up there, and then Smallest was ill early this morning, so I’ve spent quite a lot of the day asleep.

{Watching} I am number 4. Sadly not any better than the book. Although I liked the dog. I can see why they didn’t make any sequels.

{Reading} Wild: a journey from lost to found. Although mainly sleeping.

{Eating} Not really. See above.

Snapshots

A lovely Christmas. Tigerboy still not quite grasping the concept, utterly thrilled at a pile of presents. Smallest with a furby, both squeaky and hyper. Small reading an entire book at the dinner table, and Big sitting with the adults after the meal.

  1. Aw sorry you had to cancel your trip. Sounds like you’ve had a lovely week anyway. I hope the snow doesn’t disrupt you too much. Send some down to the Midlands, we would love some!x

  2. Sorry about the trip but seeing the reports in the media, it seems it was the right decision not to go. Enjoy the rest of the holidays. xxx

  3. I heard about the snow, although we haven’t seen any of it. I also know quite a few people who cancelled their trips to Yorkshire on account of it, only to discover later that in fact it wasn’t so very bad outside certain localised areas. Still, I think you were wise to play safe – especially with the little ones on board.
Looks and sound as if you’ve had a lovely Christmas, though. Mine are quite big now so the whole excitement of Christmas morning is a little more underplayed (which also has its advantages!). I like to read that you have one reading a whole book in one go at the table – you’re clearly doing something right!
Have a great new year and thanks for sharing this little snippet of your life with us. 🙂
