Saturday Snippets 26 October

{running} with an invisible friend on my shoulder, and showing her the sea. 3.2 miles, not fast, but steady. I remember when I couldn’t run around the block.

{watching} Cloudy with a chance of meatballs. Wonderfully silly, the whole family enjoyed it. It’s well put together, and the voices are excellent, though I didn’t spot Mr T until the credits rolled. (And small doesn’t know who Mr T is. Must do something about that.)

{eating} ham and jacket potatoes. An easy meal that can cook itself while we were watching the film. (I cook my own ham. It costs 3.99 for 1kg, so feeds Tim for lunches most of the week as well. Way cheaper than the cooked stuff. I keep pondering trying a cook in coke recipe.)

{drinking} a lovely Rioja. Years ago we bought wine regularly from a wineclub. We never drank it. So now, we’re allowing ourselves a bottle every now and then, and it’s a real luxury.

{drawing} with Stabilo crayons and pencils. The youngest children are loving the early writing packs we’ve been sent for review, and I’ve added Woody 3 in 1 crayons to the Christmas list I think. Especially as they wash off children and tables 😉

{fuming} about the guy who put his shopping on the conveyer belt behind me before I was half finished unpacking my trolley, and then refused to meet my eye when I glared at him. Made me get my shopping all out of order. I’m not the only one who puts it on the belt in order so that it goes into the bags properly am I?

{planning} a trip to London for tomorrow. And glad I looked tonight, because the tube station I was planning on using is partly closed.
