Saturday Snippets 21 September 2013

{feeling} confused. Frustrated, sad, annoyed and really not sure which way is up.

{missing} Tim and Big and Kentwell. They are doing Michaelmas and I am not, as I decided it was too likely to be cold and wet to do with small children. Of course it’s now not cold and wet and I feel I’m missing out. Gah.

{watching} Inspector Gadget as our #familyfilmnight choice. Downloaded from Blinkbox, still using our peerperk. A better film than the second, which contradicts it in so many ways. Not what you’d call a good film though – somewhat of a tendency to overacting on all parts. Small very much enjoyed it, and Tigerboy mostly watched it.

{reading} Finished Legend by Marie Lu this morning – enjoyed it greatly. Received a picture book about snow this morning – small children liked that, but will give it its own post. And tonight devouring The Invention of Wings, which is fantastic. I was given a copy of The Secret Life of Bees to pass on as well, so will have to work out how to share that one.

{eating} home made soup which made me feel sick, then bolognese and pasta and home made not very garlicky bread. A day of cooking failure all round.

{admiring} single parents.

{Snapshots} Big is at a swimming gala tonight – I’m told there may have been PBs achieved. Small has finished year 7 maths finally on mathletics, and is cruising into year 8. Smallest is chipping away at reading and Tigerboy has been doing some lovely drawing.
