Saturday snippets 14 February 2015

{sleeping} mainly. I got up with the children, but went back to bed with a headache. Next time I woke up it was 3 o’clock. Which was a bit of a surprise. I still don’t feel completely right, but I obviously needed the rest.

{watching} The Hunters. Which was better than the 4.9 it gets on IMBD, but not a lot. Perfectly OK for #familyfilmnight though. And then after the little ones went to bed, we’re watching the end of Dollhouse. It’s a very scrambled program. I wish it had had the full arc to play out in. (I’ve thought that about so many programs. In fact, me liking something seems to be key to it being cancelled.)

{eating} family favourite, home made burgers. With salad, to give it that healthy balance 😉

{reading} The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon. Which is good but I’m finding difficult to fit in around the sleeping 😉

{enjoying} the snowdrops. First flowers of the new year in the garden.

Snapshots

Big is making big decisions. Hers to discuss or otherwise though. Small decided this week that people were more important than pizza, and that felt like a pretty big step too. Smallest asked for a notebook of her own, and started practising writing in it, which is great to see. Tigerboy got a notebook too, and drew circles, and lines, then told me it was one and 0 and that one and 0 are ten. So he seems to be coming along nicely too. (He counted to 6 when he thought I wasn’t listening, and can count 3 discrete things.)
