{watching} Wreck it Ralph. I think this might be the first family film that the entire family watched and enjoyed, even Tigerboy was fascinated. Small, as the game geek of the family, spent the entire film trying to spot the real games, while even Tim and I enjoyed the humour. Highly recommended.

{enjoying} a visit from Em and O – time to chat, drink tea, and for the children to relate.

{adjusting} Tudor costume. The linen bodied petticoat will be worn at High Summer at Kentwell Hall.

{suffering} with a bizarre tinnitus – like having a high pitched echo in my head of the children’s voices. Not fun. Better yesterday than today though, so hopefully better still tomorrow.

{reading} The Deaths. And pondering how I have input into the panel discussion of it. Because I don’t really like it much. I need to work out how to put across reviews for books I don’t enjoy. I have a couple stalled in draft because of this.

{failing} to make headway on decluttering the bedroom. The living room is much better after a 2 1/2 hour blitz the other day.

{succeeding} in doing my steps. And in losing another 1lb. Am finally down to 10st – the next successful loss will take me into the 9s, which has been a long time coming, but makes me ever so happy. (Yes, yes, I know it’s about health and size and all the rest of it. All that is coming too. But it’s also about being the weight I feel comfortable at, and that starts with a 9, not a 10.)

{discussing} favourites. Favourite film hero, bad guy, chick flick and so on, and so forth. Great family conversation round the dinner table. I love our chats – I love that we have our sit down together at the end of every day, that we take time to connect, and discuss, and laugh, and love.

{snapshots} Big has done some fabulous writing this week, sadly on a job application rather than a blogpost, so not something I can link to. Small got up early this morning and achieved his silver award in swimming. Smallest did some lovely drawing this week, and Tigerboy has been determined to work on potty training (!)
