rspb albatross appeal

the appeal

Big is signed up to rspb wildlife explorers, courtesy of Barbara and co. This year their appeal is on behalf of albatrosses – she’s made up the money box and already put some of her own pocket money into it. Now she’s making bracelets, in both children and adult sizes. What we’re stumped on is how she is going to sell them.

Any suggestions? Or takers? I’ll blog pictures when she has a few made.

  1. How about calling the local paper? They might be able to offer a little article and pics and include contact details or something? They’d probably like a story about a little girl making such an effort on her own for charity, and I bet the charity element would make a difference. You could also try calling the local scout/brownie/etc troups to see if they can help out with sales or have a fund raising market or anything coming up.

  2. is WHAMall still running? if it is I bet they would get snapped up on there. Failing that dress her up in gypsy style, pop them all in a basket and she could go door to door? (JOKING!!)

  3. hm, dunno how wahmall would take to a 7 year old selling on there, but it has potential. She keeps saying she wants to sell them on the internet 🙂
Bryony, that’s a good plan as well – I’ll see what I can do with that.
