As mentioned earlier, we got a really good haul of non fiction books from our local Red Cross shop on Sunday. They are forming a large part of our current curriculum 😉 so I thought I’d list them out here for the record.
What Do You Know About Science and Technology?: Over 101 Questions and Answers
Plants and Animals: 101 Questions and Answers (What Do You Know About?)
What Do You Know About Earth and Space?: Over 101 Questions and Answers
Life Finds Its Feet (Cartoon History of the Earth)
Amazing Mammals (Amazing Worlds)
Amazing Spiders (Amazing Worlds)
Birds of Prey (Wild, Wild World)
and slightly oddly
Trucks and Diggers (My First Book of Questions & Answers). Think that might be the first one to go back to the shop 😉 (Unless anyone we are seeing soon would like it instead?)
For two quid, I thought that was a pretty good haul. If they get used for a month and then some or all of them go back to the shop, it’ll be no bad thing. We don’t really need to build up major stocks of books – we need to get books out of the garage and get rid of some of them! But right atm, most of our books are in the garage, so supplementing what we’ve got around with charity shop finds is working well for us.
