Parents are back

so I’ve spent most of the day with them. Finding it very tough – I’m not close to my family, which is just one of those things that has happened over the years – and I’m tired. Difficult conversations about funerals and songs, flowers or charities and phonecalls to be made to extended family.

All kids behaved well again, though Princess is beginning to feel it – it was heartbreaking listening to her cry for mummy tonight, but she fell asleep very quickly on her dad’s shoulder after.

Think I need to go get some sleep.

Thoughts have been and continue to be with you all. xx

  2. also agree that thoughts have remained with you.

  3. What they said and remembering how it was for my parents to lose a child too. More hugs and as much leaning as you need.

  4. Hope you slept. Thinking of you all here too.

  5. Hope you did sleep; can only imagine how you must be feeling but know the strain on you as eldest child to keep it all together must be huge.
Take care of yourself, or let someone one step removed do so and don’t try to be all things to all people too hard.
And hugs about how you must feel for Princess; i think i would want to grab her and run, hoping i could somehow fix it all for her and it must be very difficult knowing you can’t fix it. Hugs again.

  6. Also been thinking of you.
