Oops, did I forget to blog yesterday?

Sorry about that.

We went to Conisbrough castle, with Kirsty and bumped briefly (but pleasantly 😉 ) into Nikki as well.

I kind of enjoyed it, but I did find it hard work. Small doesn’t like to look at anything I wanted to look at – I particularly wanted to talk to the woman about the tablet weaving, so was very grateful to Kirsty for keeping an eye on him while I did that. Big, who has been going on about wanting to learn about knights and castles, was remarkably unimpressed at men actually staggering about in armour, deciding it was far too scary to watch. They both just wanted to run around like loons, and a partially fallen down castle isn’t the safest place for them to do that, especially not when it’s being inhabited by ppl with tents, open fires and lots of swords and armour. Not to mention the high numbers of small boys with wooden swords leaping from broken bits of battlements. 🙁

So we left before the audience was recruited or the surgeon got involved and headed for home.

Today I’ve insisted on some more worksheets this morning, and then we popped over to see Sarah this afternoon, taking yet more bookbags with me to parcel while there. Will be getting more into the post in the morning, they are selling quite quickly (hint hint, for anyone who hasn’t ordered yet!)

And now I must be off, to complete my final task for the day (reaching bed before midnight 😉 )

g’night all.
