We went to a nativity. A get involved nativity, in a barn, with animals and stuff 🙂 We sang carols (some with added harmony lines) and listened to the story, and then visited father christmas for presents. Then there was mulled wine, and tea and coffee and mince pies.
It was very very cold.
So we didn’t hang around long, but came back to the youth hostel, where I paused to take pictures of icicles, but not for long, because I think I’ve mentioned it’s very very cold.
There were a few hints of snowflakes in the sky, but nothing much. For which I was quite grateful, as I’d driven 90 miles today, and it would have been a shame to miss the nativity, having travelled so far this week to be here.
And now I’m sitting in a youth hostel bedroom, hoping that the baby’s upset stomach is only because of the change in food/water/routine and not as a result of any germs she has caught or spread.
Hohum.
She’s feeling a bit better now after her third nap of the day and is currently burrowing under my jumper and trying to gnaw on my stomach. I’m hoping that whatever it is goes away overnight and she’s ready for Christmas mark 1 tomorrow.
