Over on twitter, the buzz is all about Cybermummy, but I feel a little remote from that. I tried to keep up this afternoon, but it’s tough in a car, even though (obviously) I wasn’t driving. The signal keeps dropping out, and you can’t follow a conversation properly.
I’ve too much on my mind anyway. I’m focussed on the run in the morning – the furthest I’ve run is 4 miles, and tomorrow I’ve to run just over 6. There will be plenty of company, as I understand it, there are 9000 runners signed up for Jane Tomlinson’s Run for all. And I’m not alone. I’ll have my sisters J and K and my Dad. We’re Team Blunt, after all, with our fundraising page.
I wish I’d managed to run the 10k at least once before this. But the virus got in the way, and I’ve not managed to build back up again. Willpower will do it though. Or sheer bloodymindedness, whichever. I’m obviously not going to be able to get a really good night’s rest before it, as we’re all in one room, and the baby is almost literally bouncing off the walls. I could really do with being asleep now, but no one else is near it.
After the run, we’ll be heading for home, trying to get back in time for Big’s swimming club session. Then on Monday it’s my Mum On the Go with Three event – really hoping everyone can still make it, but prepared to spend tomorrow evening scouting twitter for substitutes! Should be great fun.
I need to try to get some sleep. Think of me tomorrow? When you’re having your lie in, I’ll be plodding painfully round Leeds City Centre. With a bit of luck there will be pictures. Maybe even a Silent Sunday shot. Just wish there would be someone at the finish line to take it for me. Ah well.
