News, reviews and opinions.

I get lots of PR emails these days, some interesting, some not so much. And some PRs have started sending the emails more than once, presumably in the hope of hassling me into mentioning them. Hm, they may come to regret that 😉

For example, there was the email about Anglian Water’s new initiative. Apparently in order to persuade ppl not to put sanitary products and nappies down the toilet, they’ve spent money on creating a 3D light show. Personally, I never put that type of product down the toilet. Given I use cloth nappies and a mooncup it would be rather a waste of money. And I suspect ppl who are stupid enough to throw such unsuitable things into a toilet aren’t going to be impressed by a 3D light show anyway. But there you go.

In contrast, I got news of a competition that Ecover are running on their website where they are giving away a couple of IPads a week. I’m tempted not to bother mentioning this, in the hope that it will keep the entry levels down, but that wouldn’t be particularly fair. It’s a photo comp, so the odds that I’ll get around to entering are very low, but some of you out there might enjoy it.

And this one I loved. I don’t use Persil Non Bio or Comfort sadly, I don’t use fabric conditioner at all, and I use whatever is the cheapest washing liquid or powder at Lidl/ the Coop. But how can I resist embedding a how to crochet video on my blog? I love crochet and love the idea of ppl learning all over the place – great initiative there.

Other news – Crocs have released their winter range, I’ve never fancied fur lined crocs, as I’d have thought they’d get a bit stinky, but I understand croc wellies are great for kids because they are so light. Boots have got a new range of baby products on offer – as I don’t have a baby (yet) I didn’t really pay much attention to what they are. I’m sure it’ll be very interesting to me in a few months time though.

Ravensburger Puzzle Club

Products – we were sent a fab jigsaw and puzzlestore as part of our membership of Ravensburger Puzzle Club. It was wonderful to see all three children working away on it together – not that Smallest was actually all that helpful, but she was involved. And they enjoyed it so much that once it was done, they did it again. And then after that they went hunting for the other Ravensburger puzzles that we were given at Christmas in July and did those too. Great to see them enjoying something that didn’t involve a screen tbh.

Products for me – I really enjoyed a bottle of Schloer limited edition Berry Punch. As I’m pregnant I’m staying off the alcohol, but of course party season (including my birthday!) is approaching, and there are only so many glasses of OJ you can enjoy. Pushing the boat out with some Schloer isn’t quite a glass of wine but at least it feels like you are *trying* to treat yourself! Great for designated driver too, something a little bit different.

The box of Lilletts however, not something I can review atm. So we’ll move swiftly past those….

You can also find me reviewing the Babyweaver Expedition Framed Carrier over at the kiddicare blog. A babywearer with a framed backpack? Got to be worth checking out surely.

That’s all for now folks.

  1. Do you get to keep the carrier? If not, we have a similar one here gathering dust
