New on Netflix – The Adventures of Puss in Boots

adventures of puss in boots netflix The Adventures of Puss in Boots, a Netflix original series, has been a boon this week. As has been mentioned elsewhere, I have spent many hours sitting in front of the screen with a succession of children glued to it – I comb, they watch. Fortunately, it’s pretty good even from my point of view, so it hasn’t been too painful an experience.

I’ve no idea how we got by before we had Netflix in the house. Well, actually I do. Basically I watched no TV at all, except for an NCIS a week, and the occasional Agents of SHIELD. (What happened to that anyway?) Then we were invited onto the StreamTeam in December, and Big took up residence in front of a whole series of teen movies, interspersed with series like Charmed.

Then Tim and I discovered a whole range of cult type shows, meaning that we can sit up on an evening and watch something together. At the moment we’re enjoying Jericho (post apocalyptic drama not to be confused with Jeremiah), Continuum (time travelling cops not including Jean Claude van Damme, but including Erik Knudsen as seen in Jericho – odd coincidence) and tonight we tried out Orphan Black (nope, no idea). Not sure about that, it was very confusing. And surprisingly violent.

What I guess I’m saying about Netflix is that it really does have something for the whole family. (Small watches something to do with Hulk.) And we’re really really enjoying exploring it all, from box sets of cult classics (Dollhouse anyone? Although just *what* was going on with that episode at the end of series 1??) to family film night choices, to new and exclusive material, such as The Adventures of Puss in Boots, or King Julien for the kids. Bit fabulous all round.
