Cuddling a sleeping baby. Is there a better place to be? There were so many things I should have been doing, but when it comes right down to it, there’s little more important than being there for our children.

It won’t be so long before they don’t want to sleep in my arms. Already the big two are too big for it. Childhood is fleeting, it may stretch out before you when you’re a child, as an adult you blink and your baby reaches another milestone.

So, cuddle them while you can. It’s worth it.

  1. Commenting from cuddling a fast-growing, almost 1 year old, last baby 🙁 Could be tidying, planning tomorrow, heck even sleeping but sleeping baby cuddles are the best.
    ……thank goodness I can use the Pad one-handed 😉 x

      They are, aren’t they.

  2. Oliver has just started actually cuddling back, and it’s the sweetest thing.

Tigerboy wraps his arm around your neck and lays his head against you, and my heart melts every time.

  3. I remember being so bored while breastfeeding, itching to get moving and get doing. Now the longest I get a cuddle for is about 5 seconds. I wish I could get back to those regular 40 minutes of closeness!

It goes so quickly doesn’t it? Worth cherishing while you can 🙂

  4. Cuddling is a beautiful thing which should be nurtured and enjoyed as long as it lasts. People want it so much, yet it is so hard to do when you grow up.

  5. Absolutely, and by doing so you bestow so many far reaching benefits if you think about it… x
