My incredible children.

Today Small has exploded into language. He started the day with his usual point and grunt, and has finished it with phrases. I’ve heard ‘marmite, hero, water, green, red, black, brown, white, purple, that, empty’ and probably a pile of others that I can’t remember. He then topped off the day by agreeing when I asked him if he wanted a wee post bath, climbing on to the toilet, pushing my hands away as I tried to hold him, and sitting there patiently until he’d done a wee. He’s not done that before!

Big has memorized her first poem.

‘Fuzzy wuzzy was a bear

A bear was Fuzzy wuzzy

When Fuzzy wuzzy lost his hair

He wasn’t Fuzzy, was he?’

I’m impressed 🙂 She’s also voluntarily had the tv off for a while, made pirate props unassisted for a game they played together for ages (hats, patches and telescopes, much arr-ing going on as well), they’ve both hama-ed extensively, and they spent an hour or so together on the ‘puter. All in all, it’s been how it should be.

I have worked. I have also washed up (I have an almost shiny sink 😉 ) I’ve fed children several times, eaten far too much chocolate (fun sizes shouldn’t count!), got washing just about finished, and more or less kept my temper all day. I want to excavate this table – I just listed the contents of it for a new home ed related forum I’ve just joined and I’m slipping in my first weekly aim of keeping it clear. I will say however that it was clear first thing this morning, so most of the stuff has arrived there today, and will disappear fairly quickly.

And when I’ve done my chores, I intend to amuse myself with my post. I got lots of interesting things today. I got a book on loan from a friend on Feminist Parents, Fresh milk, the secret life of breasts and a T shirt that reads They make milk too (I went for the yellow, on Big’s advice 😉 ) I’d get Tim to take a piccie of me modelling it but he’s off gallivanting tonight, I dunno, these ppl with a social life! 😀

Oh, I’m in ever such a good mood. Can you tell?
