must have overdone it

with all that gardening yesterday, as I’ve been back to bed again this afternoon. Think if this is still going on next week I’d better go to the doctors to be told it’s a virus and there’s nothing they can do…

ah well. Dd has had a lovely day with her daddy, who has put up our wonderful big map in the hallway – they then spent some time discussing maps and countries, so there you go, they’ve done education for the day. And I think I saw them reading a book too…

As for the greenhouse, it survived it’s uprooting remarkably well. I think we lost the rather pathetic carrots (there were only two coming up anyway) and probably the tray of spring onions (which is a shame, as there were quite a few of those). It did mean that I spent a lot of time relevelling the greenhouse site, hugely improving it, and learnt lots more about how to level ground with a rake. Sigh. Can’t quite remember why I got into this gardening lark, sure it was something to do with home education, but dd seems remarkably uninterested most of the time, and I am getting slowly hooked. For anyone out there pondering how to afford exercise at an overpriced gym, I’m here to say, don’t bother, just dig up your lawn and start messing around with some vegetables. Helps if you have a large toddler to carry around lots of the time too…

  1. So is he toddling then? I can never quite get my head round one day a baby, the next a toddler.

  2. TODDLING!!! And we only saw you on Sunday?? Or did you mean still cruising while holding on to stuff?

  3. I mean cruising, but you can’t call him a cruiser can you? At least, I’ve not caught him unsupported yet – but he can get all the way around the room without getting down on the floor And he so isn’t a baby baby any more, so toddler. 😉
