and I’ve got Katy (and B) here, and an open bottle of red wine.
See you tomorrow 😆

Need support for your home ed journey? Looking for tutoring for your young person? Have an idea for a collaboration? I’d love to hear from you!

After 20+ years of home educating my four children (two now adults), I’ve gathered a wealth of experience that I’m passionate about sharing. Beyond blogging and guest writing, I offer several services designed to support families on their home education journey.
I’ve put together a collection of resources that I’ve genuinely found useful over the years—things that have actually made a difference in our home education. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to freshen things up, there’s something here to help. These are the tools, guides, and materials I’d recommend to a friend, because they work.

*waves wildly* Say hello to them from me!
Sounds good.
See you in a bit! We’re up, dressed, having breakfast and watching Bear in the Big Blue House. Dino discovered CH5 has kids telly!
Hello hello!!!!!
Sorry to hijack your blog, Jax.
I’m in an Internet Cafe in Zakopane (Tatras mountains in southern Poland) so just had to ‘pop in’ to the puddle to see everyone and get my fix. Have no passwords or anything with me, so am not able to blog or even pick up email, which I’m kicking myself for as my dad brought his laptop!!! We had Internet connection in the appartment in Krakow but my dad was hogging it all the time for work.
Having an amazing time – very remenicent (sp?) of puddle meets – we (lots of extended family) have taken over a huge guest house (pictures will be on blog when I get home). So many people I haven’t seen in so long, and lots of new faces in the newest generation – I’m one of four cousins (out of, um, can’t think how many off hand) who have families of our own now. There are nine small children all together here. R is the second youngest and walking around everywhere.
We have been walking in breathtaking souroundings during the day. Last night we were up playing cards with cousins (great for overcoming the language barriers and re-building relationships longlost) and the night before we were all singing and cooking round a bonfire. Was so proud of E and B who performed ‘London’s burning’ on their own in front of everyone. Then we taught it to everyone to do in rounds. The dancing got a bit out of hand when I nearly fell in though.
Today we are having a quiet one in Zakopane (Poland’s premiere ski resort during the winter) with just the five of us but are meeting up with our English (as in that’s where they live too) cousins for lunch. Sorry for rambling – not sure how long I have till I’m turfed out.
Right off to trawl the ring with any time I have left, but won’t comment so I can get as far round as possible. Missing you all.
Oh, and I’ve also forgotten my address book 🙁 so HUGE apologies for not sending postcards. Will have to do it when we get back.
