Started the day early (how often do I post by 8.30am?) by getting organised and going to Chesterfield to meet V for a swim. Not quite sure what happened, but there was no V (did we arrive too late? We were quite a bit later than expected). Big was very disappointed, but she did enjoy her swim, so that was good. Bizarrely I got several rather dirty looks from the other mothers in the pool – not quite sure what I’d done to offend.

Belted home via Tesco’s petrol station (why does the little light always come on when you are most in a hurry?) to spend a couple of very pleasant hours with Y and her son D from the Chesterfield group. Big and D spent quite a bit of time on the computer, and Big kept going after they had gone as well (so guess I can tick off ICT today).

And then I’ve spent most of the evening researching case law and home education support lists. There’s an official in one of our local LEAs cutting up a bit officious to say the least, and he’s picking on a couple of ppl on the local list I mod. It’s not on – he is way over the mark, and it isn’t doing anyone any good.

Tomorrow is Big’s last swimming lesson at level 2, and we’re going to have to do some food shopping. That was a bad plan for a Saturday in December 🙁

Ah well, think I ought to go to bed now. Can’t remember half of what I wanted to say, and I’ve been sat here all night.

  1. have fun swimming and shopping, about to go swimming here too but no way am I going anywhere near a supermarket!

  2. Happens to me all the time. I spend the day blogging eloquently in my head and then it all deserts me at typing time.
