Just in case

Can’t think that anyone who reads here will have missed hearing about the petition against the consultation, but just in case some of you haven’t, it’s here. And have you all responded to the consultation? Or written to your MP? We’ve also got good responses from the Conservatives who’ve been mailed so far, and Michael Gove, Conservative DCSF spokesperson has responded promptly to several emails. More emails better than fewer though.

I didn’t mail the DCSF to complain as I didn’t think it would get anywhere, but I’m proved wrong by the conversation currently going on on Helen’s blog.

Please, if you haven’t got involved because you don’t know what to say or what to do, do just do something. An email to your MP takes very little effort and it doesn’t matter whether they are for or against on a personal level, what matters is getting them involved. This is a numbers game, and every player counts. Very few ppl write to their MP, so writing and asking for them to question the Minister on your behalf means that Mr Balls will get lots of pestering and will know that we are not taking this lying down.
