I've decided.

We aren’t going today.

Small isn’t well, and I can’t justify tying him into the car for a four hour journey to a shared room at the other end.

I’m a bit peeved, but tbh, I’m nowhere near 100% myself, so risking the drive would not be a good idea. I’ll finish packing in a leisurely way, look after Small (have started him on the children’s expectorant in the hope I can improve the coughing a bit), be kind to myself and hopefully we’ll get to go in the morning.

🙁

  1. Ah, bit of bummer. Hope yu all feel better and see you tomorrow – yes, we have almost gone…………

  2. Awww shame….how come these things always happen to you. I have enjoyed my 5 and a half hours of peace so far and looking forward to some more. It is probably fair to say things were getting a little fraught during the packing stage.
    Take care.
