I'm dead chuffed with this.

look what we made

Took me and Big a couple of hours yesterday – some experimentation about how best to make the joints and so on, and a fair bit of time with me cutting up bits of straw, but we both had a great time.

And I think I’m in love – how cool is this house? I mean, it’s already got the most important room in there….anyone know of a nice cheap building plot?

  1. Brilliant dome thing, and yeah, the house looks pretty cool too!

  2. Ooh, lovely. Have you seen Zome kits before? Found them while I was looking for Geomags on this site. There are lots of different levels of kit, this is a medium one. http://www.toymagnets.com/cart/shopper.cfm?action=view&key=ZT003

  3. looks great. House is stormingly massive – and also great. Chris and I really would like to live in a cutting edge looking house with all the fixtures, fittings, heating etc well planned by us! Would need more glass than the picture though. I like ligtt, and am not a curtain fan.
odd that instead we’ve bought victorian, just felt we weren’t up to self building with so many other changes.
did look at some good sized but also priced plots near huntingdon! have a house on them already to knock down and start from scratch.

  4. Heh Jax, I wanna make one!! Did you use straws and plasticine?? Did you draw the plan first? Cool!!!

  5. Grin we have a plot of land near Huntingdon waiting for the day it can be built on ;0) Maybe we should create a dome on it for when we go visit the rellies!

  6. I love the model – AND the house!
