I.Luv.mI.mummy

And I love my Big 🙂

Small and I retired to bed again today – he fell asleep after a calpol inspired battle at 11.30, and I waited until NHS Direct deigned to ring back so that I could ignore their advice and went up at about 1ish. Big was left to her own devices mainly, and she wrote me this wonderful letter, and made an envelope for it, and addressed it and left it on my laptop. She’s been an absolute star today, and I’ve been sure to tell her so lots.

Despite the quiet day, they are both upstairs, although the thudding of tiny feet tells me they aren’t quite asleep yet 😉

In the bath Small demonstrated that he understands and can speak a new word – ‘wee’. Fortunately it was as we were letting the water out, and he was ever so proud of his achievement. Another positive step towards potty training perhaps? It was rather funny too, though not convinced Tim saw the funny side when I dragged him in to hear 😀

Other than that we’ve done very little today. I had a look at Daisy maths as recommended on Home education diary from Scotland and think we might give that a go this week. Tomorrow we are supposed to be going to Big’s friends party, but it’s a swimming party and I don’t think Small is up to it. Not sure that I am either, but I’ll try for an early night and some paracetamol and take it from there. We also need to get the pressie which is a bit more of a problem tbh.

  1. A very Scottish theme to your blog today. Glad to see you’re teaching Small the mother tongue. Scots is by far the world’s most flexible language for describing human bodily functions.

  2. “Crivvens! Ye’v pished a’ oo’er mi’ fleer! Ah’ll skelp yer dock, ye wee sooner!”

  3. Gosh, you appear to have had an accident. Now be a good girl and help me clear it up before your father comes in.
