If I promise you photos

can I go to bed now?

Alternative titles could be “hama in the morning, hama in the evening, hama all over this land….” or floor. Or table. I suspect I’m going to be finding them in our food – pleased to discover that Small’s manual dexterity has developed so that he can remove bag clips – not! 3000 beads later…twice…

aargh.

now where shall I put this one?

perfect

Bored now.

So it was a very quiet day all in all. Was amazed at how long Big spent concentrating on this one task though – basically all day. Finally finished and ironed it about 3pm, which was time to start getting ready for ballet. Slight hitch – she really didn’t want to go. Regular readers will recall me mentioning that I’m going to get to watch a ballet lesson – the plan was that this week and next are open for parents to go into. I’d signed up for next week, and Big is thrilled that I’m going to watch then, but was not at all happy about other parents watching this week without me being in there. We talked about it for a bit, and then decided that she wouldn’t go.

Pressure off, she was a happy girl again (she had got herself very worked up about it 🙁 ) so we went off to Tesco’s to shop. How come it costs nearly twice as much as Lidl when I shop there? Harumph. Think I might have to make Tesco’s the monthly treat (hang on, I think I already have, can’t remember the last time we shopped there).

Bought fresh pasta (two packs for £1.50, bargain) and discovered that both children like fresh pasta. I usually do extra so that they can have seconds, but hadn’t today, and I think Small was rather miffed when I brought out yoghurt instead. He consoled himself by having two 😉 Big ate her pasta and then a whole tin of rice pudding! Where does she put it?

Forgot to mention that while Big and I were getting ready to go out (we didn’t get dressed til after the hama, beat you Ros!) we left Small downstairs watching tv and when I came back down I found him asleep, standing up leaning on the sofa. I obviously did what every good mother would and tiptoed past to try to get the camera but he woke up screaming anyway, and then fell asleep again on my shoulder. So didn’t get him down til nearly 11 tonight 🙁

Consequently, I’ve not long finished my tea, haven’t managed to comment on many blogs, but I’m off to bed anyway.

  1. Glad to hear the hama was worthwhile anyway. I’ve had a bad day today if its any consolation!

  2. Very impressed with the angel – it’s pretty big!
And I think you need to tell Small that the maxi beads are for *3* and up 😉

  3. And your hair’s got really long (or is it just that mine’s shorter?!)! Love the pics of Small with the beads 🙂
